THE PROJECT
LEONIS is a studio-based music project created and produced by Zurich visual artist and music creator Harry Mächler.
Harry gives LEONIS its face, voice and production — but LEONIS itself is not conceived as a conventional artist persona or live act. It exists through music, imagery and atmosphere: created in the studio and shaped as a world of its own.
Its musical foundation reaches back more than three decades. Years spent in and around club culture, dancefloors, electronic music, performance and visual creation have formed an instinctive understanding of rhythm, tension, movement and the emotional architecture of a night.
LEONIS is not a return to the past.
It is what those years have become.
THE SOUND
LEONIS moves between melodic club music, electronic pulse and emotional tension — music shaped for the night, the city and the space where movement turns into atmosphere.
Built from rhythm, restraint and release, the sound moves between intimacy and drive — from the pull of the dancefloor to the quiet moment afterwards, when the first light enters the room.
With SOLARIS, this world takes shape as a first full statement — a collection built around movement, atmosphere and desire, carrying LEONIS from the intimacy of the studio into its own wider universe.
