Harry Mächler is the founder of LIONIZE and the artist behind LEONIS.
The idea for LIONIZE began in 2022. Drawn for many years to the ending “-ize” and born under the sign of Leo, Harry gradually transformed this instinct into a name, a visual language and finally an entire artistic universe. What first began as a platform for visual reinvention evolved in 2025 into something larger: a return to music, memory and emotion.
From this process, LEONIS was born.
For more than three decades, Harry has moved through many different creative worlds: dance, theatre, electronic music, nightlife, performance, visual design and the art of creating atmosphere. His journey led from the “XS Art Dancers” and the Zurich Opera House to the music project “skygard”, from club culture and “SexyPop” to stage performance and “BingoShow”.
All of these experiences now come together in LEONIS — not as nostalgia, but as transformation.
Harry describes himself as a Visual Artist, Songwriter and ReDesigner:

His work is driven by one central idea: that the strength we are searching for has always existed within us. The past is not a burden, but a source. The experiences we have lived through can become the foundation for something new, stronger and more beautiful.

Alongside his artistic work, Harry has spent many years working with people in very different environments — from hospitality and event management to stage and performance. This experience gave him a deep understanding of human emotion, longing, vulnerability and connection, which now forms an essential part of his creative work.
The world of LIONIZE and LEONIS combines artistic vision and intellectual depth with glamour, elegance and iconic imagery. It is a world of shadow and light, of memory and transformation, of darkness breaking open to reveal something golden.
